The correct answer is 3) The swamps could be drained and used to build houses on.

The Maya and the Aztec took advantage of the swampland throughout Mesoamerica. What is the main reason both of these cultures found the

swamps useful?

Answer:

The swamps could be drained and used to build houses on.

The best example of how Mesoamerican civilizations like the above-mentioned used swaps was the case of the Great City of Tenochtitlan, the capital city of the Great Aztec Empire (modern-day downtown México City).

The Aztecs built their "Chinampas," on these swamps. Remember that Tenochtitlan was built over a lake, the Texcoco Lake.

These Chinampas were small portions of land built on the swamps, next to or on the water canals, where Aztecs built their homes and farmed the small portion of land producing cash crops.

The water canals served as an important means of communication to connect Tenochtitlan to other important Aztec cities such as Mixcoatl, Tlatelolco, Coyoacán, and Tlalpan.

Qual é a diferença de uma crônica e um conto?
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

I hope this helps!

What changes did early humans experience to help them become more like us?
MrMuchimi
The period of human evolution has coincided with environmental change, including cooling, drying, and wider climate fluctuations over time. How did environmental change shape the evolution of new adaptations, the origin and extinction of early hominin species, and the emergence of our species, Homo sapiens? (‘Hominin’ refers to any bipedal species closely related to humans – that is, on the human divide of the evolutionary tree since human and chimpanzee ancestors branched off from a common ancestor sometime between 6 and 8 million years ago.) How do we know Earth’s climate has changed? How quickly and how much has climate changed? One important line of evidence is the record of oxygen isotopes through time. This record of δ18O, or oxygen stable isotopes, comes from measuring oxygen in the microscopic skeletons of foraminifera (forams, for short) that lived on the sea floor. This measure can be used as an indicator of changing temperature and glacial ice over time. There are two main trends: an overall decrease in temperature and a larger degree of climate fluctuation over time. The amount of variability in environmental conditions was greater in the later stages of human evolution than in the earlier stages.

Which action was taken by the leaders of the thirteen colonies in 1776?
soldi70 [24.7K]
The first major American opposition to British policy came in 1765 after Parliament passed the Stamp Act, a taxation measure designed to raise revenues for a standing British army in America. Under the banner of “no taxation without representation,” colonists convened the Stamp Act Congress in October 1765 to vocalize their opposition to the tax. With its enactment in November, most colonists called for a boycott of British goods, and some organized attacks on customhouses and homes of tax collectors.
After months of protest in the colonies, Parliament finally voted to repeal the Stamp Act in March 1766. Most colonists continued to quietly accept British rule until Parliament’s enactment of the Tea Act in 1773, a bill designed to save the faltering British East India Company by greatly lowering its tea tax and granting it a monopoly on the American tea trade. The low tax allowed the company to undercut even tea smuggled into America by Dutch traders, and many colonists viewed the act as another example of taxation tyranny. Hope this helps!
