Answer: +/- 7

Step-by-step explanation:

3x² = 147

To solve for x divide through by three first.

3x² = 147

x² = 49, now we take the square root of both side by trying to apply laws of indices.

√x² = √49

The square root will neutralize the effect of the square because

√a = a¹/² so (x²)¹/², and (x²)¹/² =

x²×¹/² = x, therefore the solution is

x = +/- 7.

Given that f(x) = 4x√3x + 3 and g(x) = 2√x+1, find (f/g)(x)
Tresset [83]

Answer:

2x\sqrt{3}.

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{f}{g}(x)=\frac{4x\sqrt{3x+3}}{2\sqrt{x+1}}=\frac{2*2*x*\sqrt{3}*\sqrt{x+1}}{2*\sqrt{x+1}}=2x\sqrt{3}.

Answer:

A ) The value of x for  the given circle with chords and center is 8.3

B) The circumference of circle with chords 1.2 cm and 0.5 cm is 4.082

Step-by-step explanation:

Given two figures :

<u>For Figure first  </u>

A circle with center y ,  having two chords FM and NM

FM = 5 x

MN = 2 x + 25

Now from theorem of circle ,

Chords equidistant from center of circle are equal in length

I.e distance of chord MN from center y  and distance of FM from center y are equal

So, FM = MN

Or, 5 x = 2 x + 25

Or, 5 x - 2 x = 25

Or, 3 x = 25

∴       x = \frac{25}{3} = 8.33

<u>For figure second</u>

The length of two adjacent chords of circle is 1.2 cm and 0.5 cm

Let the center of circle = O

Length of chord AB = 1.2 cm

Length of chord BC = 0.5 cm

As both chords are at 90° to each other

So The Length of diameter of circle AC = \sqrt{AB^{2}+BC^{2}}

Or, The Length of diameter of circle AC = \sqrt{1.2^{2}+0.5^{2}}

Or, The Length of diameter of circle AC = \sqrt{1.44+0.25}}

Or, The Length of diameter of circle AC = \sqrt{1.69}

∴ The Length of diameter of circle AC = 1.3 cm

So, Circumference of circle = \pi d

Or, Circumference of circle = 3.14 × 1.3

∴ Circumference of circle = 4.082 cm

Hence,

A ) The value of x for  the given circle with chords and center is 8.3

B) The circumference of circle with chords 1.2 cm and 0.5 cm is 4.082 Answer

Answer:

Interior: 135 degrees

Exterior: 45 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

The interior angle of a regular octagon is exactly 135 degrees, which can be found using the (n – 2)180 formula. The exterior is simply 180 - the interior, which is 45. :)

You work a part-time job at $7.85/hr for 10 hours per week. Your deductions are FICA (7.65%), federal tax withholding (9.8%), an
Dmitrij [34]
Here, My initial salary = 7.85

FICA deduction amount = 7.85 * 7.65% = 7.85 * 0.0765 = 0.60
Federal Tax amount = 7.85 * 9.8% = 7.85 * 0.098 = 0.77
State tax amount = 7.85 * 5.5% = 7.85 * 0.055 = 0.43

So, Total deducted amount = 0.60 + 0.77 + 0.43 = 1.80
Net hourly wage = 7.85 - 1.80 = 6.05

In short, Your Answer would be $6.05

Hope this helps!
