A wicker truck has a volume of 9216 cubic inches. the trunk has length of 32 inches and a width of 18 inches. what is the height
irakobra [83]
So if you know that
length * width * height = volume, plug into the equation-
9216 = 32*18*x

Solve for x by doing
9216 divided by 32 divided by 18 and you get
16 inches (height)
Hope this helped.

Write the equation of the quadratic whose Vertex is at ( −4,−5) and passes through the point (−3, −7)
mina [271]

To Find :

The equation of the quadratic whose Vertex is at ( −4,−5) and passes through the point (−3, −7).

Solution :

A quadratic equation in vertex form is given by :

y = a(x-h)^2 + k

( Here, h, k is the vertex )

y = a(x-(-4))² + (-5)

y = a(x+4)² - 5

Now, putting (-3,-7) in above equation:

-7 = a( -3 + 4 )² - 5

a(1)² = -2

a = -2

Therefore, the equation of the quadratic is y = -2(x+4)² - 5 .
