Answer:

x = 27.5.

Step-by-step explanation:

There are given numbers on each side. If the figures are similar, then they have a set ratio for each value.

So, 55:8 and x:4. If you want to, you can flip it, so that it is 8:55 and 4:x.

With that in mind, it is easy to see what the ratio is. Because 4 is half of 8, x is half of 55. 55 divided by 2 is 27.5.

Therefore, x = 27.5.

A data set includes 108 body temperatures of healthy adult humans having a mean of 98.3degrees°F and a standard deviation of 0.6
mylen [45]
<h2>Answer with explanation:</h2>

The confidence interval for population mean is given by :-

\overline{x}\pm z_{\alpha/2}\dfrac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

Given : Sample size : n=106

Sample mean : \overline{x}=98.3^{\circ}\ F

Standard deviation : \sigma= 0.69^{\circ}F

Significance level : \alpha: 1-0.99=0.01

Critical value : z_{\alpha/2}=2.576

Then , 99% confidence interval estimate of the mean body temperature of all healthy humans will be :-

98.3\pm (2.576)\dfrac{0.69}{\sqrt{106}}\\\\\approx98.3\pm0.173=(98.3-0.173,\ 98.3+0.173)=(98.127,\ 98.473)

Since 98.6 is higher than the upper limit of the confidence interval (98.473), then this suggest that the mean body temperature could be lower then 98.6 degrees.

The best estimate of population mean is always the sample mean. \mu=\overline{x}=98.3^{\circ}\ F

1.what is the slope of the line passing through the points (1,-5) and (4,1)?
hoa [83]

Answer:

C. 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope = (y2-y1) / (x2-x1) , (x1,y1) = (1,-5) , (x2,y2)=(4,1)

= (1-(-5)) / (4-1)

= (1+5) / 3

= 6/3

= 2

Can u please help me with this math assignment
Troyanec [42]
Hard to read sideways but what I got from that is that you have a right triangle and you are trying to explain the other angles?
Both of the other two angles would be 45 because an angle is 180 total. If it is a right angle, that means that there is a 90 degree angle. 180-90=90. In a right angle, the other two angles are the same in degree. Therefor 90/2 is 45. 45 applies to both of the acute angles. I hope this helps! Good luck :)

What is the equation of y=2x-6 in standard form?
prisoha [69]

Answer:

2x - y = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in standard form is

Ax + By = C ( A is a positive integer and B, C are integers )

Given

y = 2x - 6 ( add 6 to both sides )

y + 6 = 2x ( subtract y from both sides )

6 = 2x - y, that is

2x - y = 6 ← in standard form
