I think that the missing word here is:
"with the amount of the material that Michelle has"

Let's say that her landing strip is x miles long, then its area would be:

\frac{1}{6} *x

We also know how big it is:

\frac{1}{6} *x= \frac{1}{1 500}

now, let's multiply both sides by 6:
\frac{6}{6} *x= \frac{6}{1 500}
1 *x= \frac{3}{750}
x= \frac{1}{250}

So the answer is that it would be x= \frac{1}{250} miles wide

The least number of possible bags of beads packed would be 2 because the greatest common factor is 2. To find how many of each bead is packed into each bag you would have to divide 14 and 2 which is 7, 16 and 2 which is 8, and 18 and 2 which is 9, so there will be 8 read beads, 9 orange beads, and 7 green beads.

Hope this helps!!!!

Solve 1/2(4x + 6) = 1/3(9x - 24) with and without using the LCD of the fraction. Are your answers the same?
Sedbober [7]
For the answer to the question above asking to s<span>olve 1/2(4x + 6) = 1/3(9x - 24) with and without using the LCD of the fraction.
The problem is simple.

just multiply 1/2 to 4x + 6 which will result to 2x+3

same method on the 1/3 to 9x - 24 and it will result to 3x-8

2x+3 = 3x - 8

3x-2x = 8+3

then the answer will be  x= 11</span>

At 12 noon in anchorage Alaska Janice noticed that the temperature outside was 12
Alisiya [41]
I assume that you want to know the temperature at a certain timing.
Well, you know that at 12:00 pm, the temperature was 12 F and that it decreases by a steady rate of 2 F each hour.

This means that at 1:00 pm, the temperature was 12-2 = 10 F
At 2:00 pm, the temperature was 10-2 = 8 F
At 3:00 pm, it was 8-2 = 6 F
.......and so on

You can follow this sequence to the timing you are looking for.
