Can anyone help me with my math homework! My teacher didn't even discuss it! I would appreciate it! Thank you!

Please, in the future, post just one problem at a time.

Looking at Problem #1:  The line intersects the y-axis at (0,-3) and intersects the x-axis at (1,-1).  At least, this is what I see; your graph is small.
                                                                           -3-[-1]
The slope of that line is then  m = rise / run = ------------ = +2.
                                                                            0 - 1
                                       [change in y]
Slope = m = rise / run = --------------------
                                        [change in x]

Solve the formula V = pi r2h for r
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

V=\pi \times r^{2}\times h\\\\\Longrightarrow V=r^{2}\times \left( \pi \times h\right)  \\\\\Longrightarrow r^{2}=\frac{V}{\pi \times h} \\\\\Longrightarrow r=\sqrt{\frac{V}{\pi \times h} }

HELP ASAP<br> f(x)=x² what is g(x)?
murzikaleks [220]

Just by comparing the plots of f(x) and g(x), it's clear that g(x) is just some positive scalar multiple of f(x), so that for some constant k, we have

g(x) = k • f(x) = kx² = (√k x)²

The plot of the transformed function g(x) = (√k x)² passes through the point (1, 4), which means

g(1) = (√k • 1)² = 4

and it follows that k = 4. So g(x) = 4x² = (2x)² and B is the correct choice.
