Given:

The data table is given.

The equation of trend line is:

y=2x+15

To find:

Values for residual table.

Solution:

Formula for residual:

Residual=\text{Observed value}-\text{Predicted value}

The equation of trend line is:

y=2x+15                ...(i)

Substituting x=5 in (i), we get

y=2(5)+15

y=10+15

y=25

The value of y from the table at x=5 is 25. So,

Residual=25-25

Residual=0

Similarly,

Substituting x=6 in (i), we get

y=2(6)+15

y=12+15

y=27

The value of y from the table at x=6 is 28. So,

Residual=28-27

Residual=1

Substituting x=7 in (i), we get

y=2(7)+15

y=14+15

y=29

The value of y from the table at x=7 is 29. So,

Residual=29-29

Residual=0

Substituting x=8 in (i), we get

y=2(8)+15

y=16+15

y=31

The value of y from the table at x=8 is 30. So,

Residual=30-31

Residual=-1

Substituting x=9 in (i), we get

y=2(9)+15

y=18+15

y=33

The value of y from the table at x=9 is 32. So,

Residual=32-33

Residual=-1

Therefore, the complete residual table is:

x                 :          5            6             7             8             9

Residuals  :          0             1             0             -1            -1

There is 3/8 of an apple pie left from dinner. Tomorrow, Victor plans to eat 5/8 of the pie that was left. Enter how much of the
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

\frac{15}{64} of the pie

Step-by-step explanation:

Whole numbers refer to a collection of natural numbers together with 0.

Fraction refers to part of a whole.

Part of an apple pie left from a dinner = \frac{3}{8}

Part of an apple eaten by Victor tomorrow is equal to  \frac{5}{8} of the pie that was left

So,

Part of an apple eaten by Victor tomorrow = \frac{5}{8}(\frac{3}{8})=\frac{15}{64} of the pie

katrina drinks 0.5 gallons of water per day which expression shows how to find the number of cups of water she drinks in a week
Naily [24]
0.5 gallons every day

1 weeks = 7 days

0.5 gallons x 7 days = 3.5 gallons every week

1 gallon = 16 cups

3 1/2 gallons = 3 1/2 x 16 = 56 cups

Katrina drinks 56 cups of water every week

How many solutions does this equation have? d − 3 = –3 + d
Tomtit [17]
It has an infinite amount of solutions.

Explanation:
d-3 = -3+d which can be arranged as: d-3=d-3
Since they are equal to each other, no matter what number you input, your solution will be the same which means that there are an infinite amount of solutions. Let’s put this to the test and put in 5 for d. 5-3=5-3 is 2=2. They are equal to each other which means: infinite solution.
