It became law on May 30, 1854. The Kansas-Nebraska Act repealed the Missouri Compromise, created two new territories, and allowed for popular sovereignty. It also produced a violent uprising known as “Bleeding Kansas,” as proslavery and antislavery activists flooded into the territories to sway the vote.

Disguised as Mohawk native Americans boarded 3 ships carrying tea made by the East Indian Company and dumped tea into The Boston Harbor, on December 16, 1773. , protesting against British rule and high taxes. They were not  officially justified  because they acted according to their own beliefs and often did violent acts. Still, some think that what they did was an patriotic act.
