Explanation:

Prior to the emergence President Richard M. Nixon, the 37th president of the United States, serving from 1969 until 1974. There was a lot of political uprising spanning across the previous ten years in the US, most specifically in 1968, where by, there are issues of assassinations of public figures, violent protest to the rising Vietnam war, widening gap in class differences, widespread socio-economic problems, and an increasingly impatient civil rights movement leading to series of angry black power advocates, rise of feminism, less confidence in the credibility of the nation's leaders, young folks going against their parents' values, college revolts against school administrators and lifestyle constraints, new and emerging sexual orientation, leading to various birth control methods, such as pill and, most significantly, an aggressive culture war over concept of values such as abortion, crime, patriotism, prayer in school, freedom of speech and respect for institutions.

However, during and after Richard Nixon's tenure as the President of United States of America, he was credited with the conclusion to the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War, conflicting issues with the Soviet Union and China, and the establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency.
