So hmmm notice the first picture below
the triangular prism, is really just 2 triangles and 3 rectangles

so... if you get the area of each of the rectangles, and the triangles, add them all up, that's the surface area of the triangular prism

now, notice the second picture, you simply have 3 rectangles, each a 10x18

and notice the triangle, is an equilateral triangle, so all sides are equal, and its altitude or height is given, is 9, so... as you'd know, the area of a triangle is 1/2 bh

so, just get the area of those 3 rectangles and 2 triangles and sum them up, that'd be the area of the triangular prism

To find the answer, put all your numbers in a triangle like so:
       18
    9     10
Then, you multiply 18 against every other number and then double it. (e.g. 18*9*2) after you do that to the nine and ten, multiply 9*10*2 and add all the products up. After you find the sum, divide it by 2.

The population of a town is 14,000, and it grows at a rate of 4% per year. What will the population be in 6 years?
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

17360.

Step-by-step explanation:

4 percent of 14000 is 560. Since your adding 6 years you need to do 560 times 6 which is 3360. Finally adding that to 14000 gives you a final answer of 17360

One smartphone plan costs $30 per month for talk and messaging and $8 per gigabyte of data used each
Yuliya22 [10]

A;

30 + 8g = c

B;

60 + 3g = c

60 + 3g = 30 + 8 g

30 = 5g

g = 6

6 gigs would have to be used in both for the cost to be the same

The dimensions of a rectangular water tank are 2
Svetllana [295]

Rectangle volume formula: Volume = length × width × height

V = 2.75 × 1.80 × 1.40 = 6.93 meters³

1m³ = 1000 litres

6.93 × 1000 = 6930 litres

Answer:

6930 litres of water can hold when filled to the brim.

For the quadratic function <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=y%3D%28x%2B4%29%5E2-1" id="TexFormula1" title="y=(x+4)^2-1" alt="y=
xenn [34]

Answer:

y=x^2+8x+15

Intercept form is y= (x+5)(x+3)

vertex is (-4,1)

y intercept is (0,15)

x intercepts are (-5,0) (-3,0)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given quadratic function

y=(x+4)^2-1

To rewrite it in standard form we need to expand (x+4)^2

y=(x+4)(x+4)-1

y=x^2+8x+16-1

y=x^2+8x+15

Intercept form is y=a(x-p)(x-q)

Factor x^2 + 8x + 15

product is 15 and sum is 8, 5*3= 15 and 5+3=8

(x+5)(x+3)

Intercept form is y= (x+5)(x+3)

Vertex form of equation is y=(x-h)^2+k

where (h,k) is the vertex

y=(x+4)^2-1, here h = -4 and k =1 so vertex is (-4,1)

To find y intercept plug in 0 for x

y= (x+5)(x+3)

y= (0+5)(0+3) = 15, so y intercept is (0,15)

to find x intercept plug in 0 for y

y= (x+5)(x+3)

0= (x+5)(x+3),             x+5 =0           and x+3=0

                                   x=-5              and x= -3

So x intercepts are (-5,0) (-3,0)
