During the Civil War, the lyrics of "Dixie" were changed; there were many variations. This one was written by Confederate Genera

l Albert Pike.
Southerners, hear your country call you!

Up, lest worse than death befall you!

To arms! To arms! To arms in Dixie! . . .

Fear no danger! Shun no labor!

Lift up rifle, pike, and sabre! . . .

To arms! To arms! Advance the flag of Dixie!

For Dixie's land we take our stand, and live or die for Dixie!

To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie!

To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie!

The new lyrics to the song tried to inspire Southerners to

send supplies to Confederate troops.

manufacture ammunitions for the war.

fight for the Confederate cause.

continue to grow cotton and other crops.

Describe the economic situation for people in the U.S. During the great depression
Masja [62]

Due to the fall in the stock market, there has been a decrease in consumer spending and investments. This was caused by a steep decline in industrial production and a rise in unemployment due to failed companies that fired their workers. After the fall in the first 10 months of 1930, 744 banks collapsed - 10 times more. In all, 9,000 banks collapsed during the decade of the 1930s. It is estimated that 4,000 banks failed only during one year in 1933. Until 1933, depositors lost $ 140 billion due to the failure of banks. This is too simplified to find out the decline in stock trading as a unique cause of the Great Depression. However, in 1932, when the country collapsed in the depths of the Great Depression and about 15 million people (more than 20% of the American population at that time) was unemployed.

PLEASE ANSWER FAST explain what a precedent is. Identify three precedents to the United States constitution. choose one of the a
maksim [4K]
Precedent means "a decision that can be legally used due to the current situation"

For example, in the US constitution:
1) "The Ratification of the Conventions of 9 states, shall be sufficient for the Establishment of this Constitution between the states so ratifying the Same"
- It is already ratified, and so we don't really need it

2) "All debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the adoption of this constitution, shall be as valid against the US under this Constitution, as under the Confederation"
-Again, it is already ratified, note that it says "before the adoption"

3) "No person held to Service or Labour in One state, under the laws thereof, escaping into another, shall, in consequence of any law or regulation therein, be discharged from such service or labour, but shall be delivered up on claim of the Party to whom such Service or Labour may be due".
- We really don't need this anymore, because we don't have slavery

hope this helps
