What is the wavelength of a wave with a frequency of 0.4 kHz traveling at 16 m/s?
larisa86 [58]

Answer: 0.04metres

Explanation:

The wavelength of a wave is the distance covered by the wave after one complete cycle. It is measured in metres, and represented by the symbol λ

Recall that Velocity (V) = Frequency F x wavelength λ

V = F λ

Make λ the subject formula

λ = V / F

In this case Frequency = 0.4 kHz

Convert kilohertz to hertz by multiplying 0.4 by 1000 i.e (0.4 x 1000Hz) = 400Hz

Velocity of wave = 16 m/s

So, λ = V / F

λ = 16 m/s / 400Hz

λ = 0.04metres

Thus, the wavelength of a wave is 0.04metres

geniusboy [140]
Early in mitosis, during prophase and prometaphase, the nucleus, nucleolus and nuclear envelope begin to dissolve in preparation for cell division. During telophase, which is the final stage in mitosis,, there is a reversal of effects of prophase and prometaphase; nucleus, nucleolus and nuclear envelope are again formed.

romanna [79]
I believe the correct answer among the choices listed above is the last option. Plants seemed to evolve in the order of bryophytes, gymnosperms,angiosperms. Bryophytes are mosses that lack vascular tissue. Gymnisoerm do not have seeds but have vascular tissue. Angiosperms have flowers and seeds for mating.
