Answer:

b. contributes to binding of O2 by hemoglobin in lungs and release of O2 from hemoglobin in tissues.

Explanation:

 • The Bohr effect is a phenomenon described by Christian Bohr. Is an affinity that binds oxygen and hemoglobin and is inversely related to the concentration of carbon dioxide. As CO2 reacts with water and an increase in CO2 results in a decrease in blood ph.

which of these pieces of equipment would be the most appropriate for precisely measuring 29 mL of liquid? Explain your reasoning
Anna007 [38]

Answer:

The best equipment would be the graduated cylinder. Why?

Firstly, the smallest marking on the graduated cylinder is 2 mL, while on all the others the smallest marking is way above that, like 25 mL and 100 mL.

Without even going into the details, we can first rule out the volumetric flask, since its smallest marking is 100 mL and even that is already bigger than our sample size, hence we would have no markings to accurately measure out 29 mL of our sample had we used the volumetric flask.

Next to be ruled out would be the Erlenmeyer flask, as you can see in the image, it only has three marking, and as the smallest marking is 25 mL, each marking is at least 25 mL, and even so far as going up to 50 mL. This cannot let us accurately measure 29 mL out at all, due to the markings being way too big to do that. Hence, the Erlenmeyer flask is ruled out.

Finally, the beaker seems to be a worthy candidate! Unfortunately, for the same reason as the Erlenmeyer flask, as you can see in the image each marking represents 10 mL. We cannot measure 9 mL in the beaker accurately, and hence the beaker is ruled too.

We are left with the graduated cylinder, and that is our answer.

Explanation:

Hope this helped!

How would you know if this combination is likely to be found in some dirt?
Mkey [24]

Answer:

very unlikely to be found in dirt

Explanation:

That combination has a ratio of ¹⁴N to ¹⁵N of 10:4 = 2.5: 1. The most ¹⁵N enriched natural material has a ratio of ¹⁴N to ¹⁵N on the order of 250 : 1 or higher. The combination shown is very unlikely to be found in dirt.

What is the most stable monatomic ion formed from lithium?
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer: The ion formed by lithium element is Li^+

Explanation:

Ions are formed when an atom looses or gains electrons.

If an atom gains electrons, it leads to the formation of negative ions known as anions. For Example: Fluorine gains 1 electron to form F^- ions.

If an atom looses electrons, it leads to the formation of positive ions known as cations. For Example: Sodium looses 1 electron to form Na^+ ions.

Lithium is the 3rd element of the periodic table having 3 electrons.

The electronic configuration of lithium element = 1s^22s^1

This element will loose 1 electron to attain stable electronic configuration and will lead to the formation of Li^+ ion.

Hence, the ion formed by lithium element is Li^+
