The cumulative impact of the use of the word "depic" or "depictions" in the article, as represented by the excerpted quotes, is the following one:

3- The word "depict" is a synonym for "represent" or "representations", and its use likely suggests a more formal tone to readers.

The people whose quotes were cited were:

Quote 1: a governor.

Quote 2: a lawyer.

Quote 3: the president of an association.

Since they were not talking to friends or family when they stated what we see in their quotes (they were probably talking to the press or being interviewed, which adds up to the weight and significance of their words), plus the fact they all represented different institutions, it is only natural that their word choice would be a more formal one.

I need help by 3/5 plus one fourth
puteri [66]
You cannot add two fractions with different denominators (the bottom number) so you have to convert them so that they do.
The lowest common denominator (LCD) for 4 and 5 is 20. 4 is multiplied into 20 5 times, so multiply 5/5 by the whole fraction so that you have:
1/4x5/5=5/20
And as for 5, it goes into 20 4 times, so you multiply 4/4 by the whole fraction so that you have:
3/5x4/4=12/20

NOW, you can add both fractions together. Because this is addition, you do NOT add the denominators, only add the numerators.
5/20+12/20=17/20
The fraction 17/20 cannot be simplified any further, so that is your answer. Hope this helps :-)

Katena32 [7]

Answer:

The main option for white women was in the textile industry, while african american women were mainly slaves.

Explanation:

The main difference was that women mainly worked in the household, being in charge of taking care of the kids and educating them, the ones that searched for work outside the household if they were white women had opportunity to work in the textile industry, while african americans were slaves and worked in plantations or working as maids and cookers in their slavers houses, nowadays women have many opportunities to develop a career in almost any field they desire, eventhough there´s still some differences and unequalities towards them, they jave more freedom to choose.
