So i’m pretty sure you’re supposed to add them. first you have to find a common denominator. the easiest way to do this is to multiply the denominators! so
3•7=21
we have our denominator
now we have to convert both fractions into new fractions with the denominator
so for the first fraction, we got 21 by multiplying by 7, so we have to multiply the whole equation by 7:
2•7/3•7
that makes 14/21 (our first fraction!)
now the second fraction we multiplied by 3, so:
5•3/7•3
that makes 15/21
now we have to add them!
14/21 + 15/21 = 29/21
there’s one complete number in that fraction, because 21/21 reduces to 1/1 which is just one. but we still have 8 left over, so the simplified answer is:
1 8/21

hope this helped!!

Evaluate 6+4/a +b/3 when a = 4and b=3
tester [92]

If , a = 4 and b = 3

Then :-

= 6 +  \frac{4}{4}  +  \frac{3}{3}

= 6 +  \frac{(4 \times 3)}{12}  +   \frac{(3 \times 4)}{12}

= 6 +  \frac{(12 + 12)}{12}

= 6 +  \frac{2}{1}

= 6 + 2 \\

= 8

∴6 +  \frac{4}{4}  +  \frac{3}{3}  =8

Describe the graph represented by the equation r=5/(3+2 sin theta).
Yuki888 [10]
We have the following equation:

r= \frac{5}{3+2sin(\theta)}

If we graph this equation we realize that in fact this is an ellipse with major axis matching the y-axis. So we can recognize these characteristics:

1. Center of the ellipse:

The midpoint C<span> of the line segment joining the foci is called the </span>center<span> of the ellipse. So in this exercise this point is as follows:
</span>
C(0, -2)

2. Length of major axis:

The line through the foci is called the major axis<span>, so in the figure if you go from -5, at the y-coordinate, and walk through this major axis to the coordinate 1, the distance you run is the length of the major axis, that is:</span>

6 \ units

3. Length of minor axis:

The line perpendicular to the foci through the center is called the minor axis. So in the figure if you go from -2, at the x-coordinate, and walk through this minor axis to the coordinate 2, the distance you run is the length of the minor axis, that is:

4 \ units

4. Foci:

Let's find c as follows:

c=\sqrt{a^{2}-b^{2}}=\sqrt{3^{2}-2^{2}}=\sqrt{5}

Then the foci are:

f_{1}=(0, \sqrt{5}-2)

f_{2}=(0, -\sqrt{5}-2)

It is given that R=2q-5 and Q=3p+2. Find the numerical value of R when p=3
saveliy_v [14]

Answer:

R = 17

Step-by-step explanation:

R = 2q - 5

Q = 3p + 2

Find the numerical value of R when p = 3

R = 2q - 5

R = 2(3p + 2) - 5

R = 6p + 4 - 5

R = 6p - 1

When p = 3

R = 6(3) - 1

R = 18 - 1

R = 17
