Combine like terms. Add up the numbers with the x.(3x+x) will give you 4x. Now you will subtract 4 from 22 and you will get 18 now you will divide 4 from 18 and you will get a decimal but round it up and it should be 4? If not then instead of adding x to 3x subtract x from 3 and you get 2x now the 18 from earlier you divide 2 from 18 and you will get 9. I hope this helps !
