Diplomacy is basically negotiating and bargaining within a group of diplomats, each group will usually negotiate to get more than what they are actually going to receive and will eventually come to some sort of compromise.  Sometimes outside diplomats will come and join other negotiations to help. Diplomacy is important because it helps strengthen nations, states, and organizations throughout the diplomacy, it helps advance interests in its charge.
