Embryonic stem cells can be readily grown in culture and exhibit unique properties, including spontaneous differentiation into three germ layers in vitro or teratoma formation in vivo. 1) George Herbert Mead suggested the self develops was composed by a three stages:  The preparatory stage, play stage, and game stage.
The Preparatory Stage starts at the time we are born and ends when we are about two years old.
The Play Stage  goes from age two to six.
The Game Stage, the last stage, is from about age seven on wards.

The Preparatory Stage: children mimic those around them. This is why it's better for parents to not use foul language around them. They don't know the meaning of those words or actions..
In the play stage, children play pretend and do not stick to the rules in organized games. While they play the game they invent the rules.
In the game stage, they can understand and stick to the rules of games an begin to understand other people's perspective.
