There is always a parameter in which high beams of headlight are safe to use. As any car coming from the opposite side will feel the effect, which can cause loss of vision for the driver of the car which may result in a traffic accident,if in case things got out of control. For, that reason using high beam lights are safe in distance of 500 meters or else use low beam light in  dark while driving through high traffic.
