Amshuverma was widely known as a ruler of Nepal. Though he was not the King, he held the position of Mahasamanta during the reign of King Sivadev I. He ruled between 595 CE – 621 CE.

He was considered a learned King because of some intelligent characteristics he possessed. Some of which are

1. He wrote a book on grammar in Sanskrit titled 'Sabda Vidhya'

2. He built a 7-storied palace Kailashkut Bhawan.

What might have been good enough for previous generations will not cut it in the future, and what we have is not sustainable anyway. I certainly don’t want to end up in a care home, nor do I want to have to make the decision for my parents to go into one. I have worked with many older people who have just wanted to stay in their own homes. It’s about choice, having the services in place to support people to make choices about how they want to live, and be supported when necessary in later life.

Action - In this stage, people have recently changed their behavior (defined as within the last 6 months) and intend to keep moving forward with that behavior change. People may exhibit this by modifying their problem behavior or acquiring new healthy behaviors.

Maintenance - In this stage, people have sustained their behavior change for a while (defined as more than 6 months) and intend to maintain the behavior change going forward. People in this stage work to prevent relapse to earlier stages.

Termination - In this stage, people have no desire to return to their unhealthy behaviors and are sure they will not relapse. Since this is rarely reached, and people tend to stay in the maintenance stage, this stage is often not considered in health promotion programs.
