Answer:

"I may assert th'Eternal Providence,"

"And justify the ways of God to men"

Explanation:

"I may assert th'Eternal Providence,"

This line contains the subject "I", in poetry this is known as the "lyrical I" , that is the author as the protagonist of the poem. Having said that, it can be stated that Milton is the "I" of this extract so he is going to try to account for the actions of God in connection to the fall of humanity.

"And Justify the ways of God to men"

Milton was a very religious man and he wrote Paradise Lost with the intention of explaining why God punished Adam and Eve (and why all humanity was punished through them). As a result, it an be said that Paradise lost is an attempt to justify God's actions. This can be clearly seen in the quote "and justify the ways of God to men"

Describe what John Lewis meant by getting into "good trouble." Include an example of "good trouble" that is mentioned in the Art
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

The Specific article was not mentioned in the question. Basing my answers on the New York Times Article: John Lewis, Towering Figure of Civil Rights Era, Dies at 80.

1. Good trouble meant being punished for fighting for a good course.

2. An example of good trouble was when John Lewis and some other protesters were severely beaten after they crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge at Selma Alaska on March 7, 1965. They were protesting to be granted their voting rights.

Explanation:

John Lewis was a popular activist who zealously protested the several injustices the blacks were subjected to in the twentieth century and down into the time when he died this year 2020, of Pancreatic cancer. He was involved in the Freedom Rides of the 1960s where blacks were not allowed to travel in the same vehicles as the whites. On many of these occasions, he was beaten along with other protesters.

Lewis encouraged young ones to get into good trouble that would make way for future positive results. According to the article, he fought a holy crusade. In a tweet in 2018, he wrote the words below:

“Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.”

In this unit, we have discussed how people view life and the world in which they live with the goal of determining our own world
Papessa [141]

Answer: People usually take life for granted and have a negative view of the world around them. I feel as life should be cherished with every second, because it could suddenly be cut off. The next second, minute, hour, or day, we could pass by any circumstance. It could be nearly impossible, but it could happen. Tomorrow is never promised, and thats something at people think isnt true, but it is, Take 9/11 for example, 3,000 people went to their daily routines and went to work that morning. The thought that they could die that day never once crossed their minds, and it usually never crosses our minds either, they sat down, said good morning to their families and later co-workers, sat down at their desks, or went to a meeting. Some of them simply didn't feel well that morning and decided to stay home, how do you think that they felt when they found out about the attacks, knowing that they could have died that day? The thing is, never take what you have for granted, because it could be ripped away from your grasp at a moment's notice.
