Answer: Capillaries connect the arterial system — which includes the blood vessels that carry blood away from your heart — to your venous system. Your venous system includes the blood vessels that carry blood back to your heart. The exchange of oxygen, nutrients, and waste between your blood and tissues also happens in your capillaries.

Which macromolecule is involved in how hemophilia is passed from parents to their children
Serga [27]

Answer:

chromosomes

Explanation:

chromosomes which consist of genes which consist of DNA can pass on traits from parent to child.

it basically works by depending on the gender of the child it can inherit certain traits from its parents

so say the hemophilia is an XX being from the mom and to get the mutation you would need the X that has the mutation and either an X or Y from the dad.

I dont know if hemophilia affects X or Y but that is how the mutation would be passed on.

Put the following steps in the correct order from 1-9
storchak [24]

Answer:

transcription of mRNA from DNA

small ribosomal subunit binds to mRNA

initiation complex formed with addition of large ribosomal subunit

translocation

codon recognition (non-initiating site)

peptide bond formation

ribosome reads a stop codon

polypeptide chain is released from the P site

ribosomal subunits dissociate

Explanation:

The above describes the process of translation in the ribosome. After transcription of DNA to mRNA, the mRNA is taken to the ribosome to undergo translation, here the mRNA binds to the small ribosomal subuits and to other initiation factors; binding at the mRNA binding site on the small ribosomal subunit then the Large ribosomal subunits joins in.

Translation begins (codon recognition; initiating site) at the initiation codon AUG on the mRNA with the tRNA bringing its amino acid (methionine in eukaryotes and formyl methionine in prokaryotes) forming complementary base pair between its anticodon and mRNA's AUG start codon. Then translocation occurs with the ribosome moving one codon over on the mRNA thus moving the start codon tRNA from the A site to the P site, then codon recognition occurs (non-initiating site again) which includes incoming tRNA with an anticodon that is complementary to the codon exposed in the A site binds to the mRNA.

Then peptide bond formation occurs between the amino acid carried by the tRNA in the p site and the A site. When the ribosome reads a stop codon, the process stops and the polypeptide chain produced is released and the ribosomal subunits dissociates.

What sensory information is encoded for by hair cells in the maculae of the saccule and utricle? What is the function of the oto
Fittoniya [83]

Answer and Explanation:

The sensory information encoded for by the hair cells in the maculae of the saccule and utricule are:

  • the direction and strength of mechanical stimuli (polarity information)
  • Response to the head's rotational movement

Functions of the otoliths

The otoliths provide balance, movements and serve as directional indicators in vertebrates. They help higher vertebrates in sound detection.

Functions of the vestibular nuclei

  • Maintenance of equilibrium and posture
  • Modification of muscle tone
  • Relays information to the cerebral cortex
  • Directing the movements of the head and eye
  • Maintaining the line of vision
