Answer:

50 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

Dan and june mix two kind of feed for pedigreed dogs

Feed A worth is $0.26 per pound

Feed B worth is $0.40 per pound

Let x represent the cheaper amount of feed and y the costlier type of feed

x+y= 70..........equation 1

0.26x + 0.40y= 0.30×70

0.26x + 0.40y= 21.........equation 2

From equation 1

x + y= 70

x= 70-y

Substitutes 70-y for x in equation 2

0.26(70-y) + 0.40y= 21

18.2-0.26y+0.40y= 21

18.2+0.14y= 21

0.14y= 21-18.2

0.14y= 2.8

Divide both sides by the coefficient of y which is 0.14

0.14y/0.14= 2.8/0.14

y= 20

Substitute 20 for y in equation 1

x + y= 70

x + 20= 70

x= 70-20

x = 50

Hence Dan and june should use 50 pounds of the cheaper kind in the mix

Taylor has 84 pennies and 300 dimes. How much money does that make?
irinina [24]
A penny is worth 1 cents. So, 84 pennies is 84 cents or $0.84
A dime is worth 10 cents, So, 300 dimes is 30 dollars or $30 dollars

$0.84 + $30 = $30.84
84 pennies and 300 dimes is equivalent to 30 dollars and 84 cents.

Find the coordinate of the midpoint of GH with endpoints G(-5,4) and H (-5,8)
Yuri [45]

Answer:

(-5,6)

Step-by-step explanation:

G(-5,4)=(x1,y1)

H(-5,8)=(x2, y2)

midpoint=?

now,

(x,y)= x1+x2/2     y1+y2/2

         -5-5/2        4+8/2

           -10/2          12/2

             -5              6

therefore the co ordinates of midpoint are(-5,6)

I) Consider the following figure,

qwelly [4]

Step-by-step explanation:

If PQRS is a quadrilateral inscribed in a circle, then the opposite angles of the quadrilateral are supplementary.

y + 68° = 180° { being opposite angles of cyclic quadrilateral }

y = 180° - 68°

y = 112°

x + 82° = 180° { being opposite angles of cyclic quadrilateral }

x = 180° - 82°

x = 98°

Hope it will help :)❤
