Which refractive index would indicate the densest material?
Margaret [11]
I think the answer would be 1.5. Refractive index is a tool that is used to study how light bends as it passes through one substance to another. It is the ability of a substance to bend light. As the density of a medium decreases the refractive index should decrease and vice varsa.

How do the random distribution of chromosomes and crossovers create more variation in the resulting gametes?
Oksanka [162]

When cells divide during meiosis, homologous chromosomes are randomly distributed during anaphase I, separating and segregating independently of each other. This is called independent assortment. It results in gametes that have unique combinations of chromosomes.

Crossing over creates new combinations of genes in the gametes that are not found in either parent, contributing to genetic diversity.

How much energy do consumers obtain when they eat
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer: it’s 10%

Explanation: Primary consumers only obtain a fraction of the total solar energy—about 10%—captured by the producers they eat. The other 90% is used by the producer for growth, reproduction, and survival, or it is lost as heat. You can probably see where this is going. Primary consumers are eaten by secondary consumers.
