The squirrel will go searching for food to collect food such as nuts, and or acorns. During the fall the squirrel caches nuts over a wide area using a technique called “scatter hoarding” in which the squirrel bites and licks each nut before the squirrel buries it. Through out the winter the squirrel will retrieve the nuts. Using it’s memory and it’s sense of smell.
Answer:
hertz (Hz); decibels (dB)
Explanation:
The Sound Measurement units are: Hertz (Hz) and Decibels (dB).
As you may know, sound travels in waves. The speed of the vibrations of these waves defines the tone of the sound. The tone is measured in Hertz, vibrations per second. The higher the number of vibrations per second the higher the sound. Hertz therefore measures the pitch of the sound. The decibel, in turn, measures the power of the sound, its energy, the stronger or weaker it is emitted. Measures the volume of the sound.
Phytoplankoton are the primary energy producers of the ocean ecosystem. They create the energy from the light sources such as sun. They convert the obtained light energy into carbohydrates by the process of photosynthesis. The energy produced by the phytoplankton is not consumed by it. These are the important food sources for the aquatic animals in order to support the food chain. These are considered as the foundation of the aquatic food web. These phytoplanktons even cause death of the organisms. When the phytoplankton die it sinks to the bottom of the water body and the bacteria which feed on the dead phytoplankton release oxygen making the marine life suffocating. These phytoplanktons produce chemical energy from sun light. These produce carbohydrates by utilising carbon dioxide from atmosphere resulting in water and oxygen as the end product.
Therefore, Phytoplanktons act as PRODUCERS in an ocean ecosystem.
