For a triangle ot be created the shortest two sides must add up to a number greater than the longest side.  IE 1.6 + 5.9 = 7.5, therefore one triangle CAN be drawn.

However the order of the sides can be clockwise or anti-clockwise so more than one trinagle can be drawn .

If the ratio of men to women is 3:2 and there are 120 men, how many women would there be?
zavuch27 [327]
There would be 80 women.
Here's the work:
120 divided by 3 = 40
If the ratio is 3:2, there is always one less woman then men, so you subtract the 40 men in a group and you get your answer of 80

Hope I helped!! :)

The probability that you roll a 5 on a six-sided die is start fraction one over six end fraction . the probability that you flip
Anastaziya [24]
Let event A be the coin landing on heads and let event B be rolling a 5 on a six-sided die.
Events A and B are independent if, and only if:
P(A\cap B)=P(A)\times P(B)
It is given in the question that the above condition for independence is met.
Also A and B are independent if:
P(A|B) = P(A)
P(A) = 1/2
Therefore the probability of flipping a coin and it landing on heads, given that you rolled a 5 on a six-sided die is 1/2. The two events are independent.
