Answer:

\large{ \tt{❃ \: EXPLANATION}} :

  • We're provided the figure of trapezium in which 2 m and 7m are the opposite parallel sides and 10m is the height.

  • The formula to found out the area of a trapezium is \frac{1}{2} \tt{h(a + b)} where h is the height and a & b are the opposite parallel sides .

\large{ \tt{❁ \: LET'S \: START}} :

\boxed{ \large{ \tt{❊ \: AREA \: OF \: TRAPEZIUM \: (A) =  \frac{1}{2} h(a + b)}}}

- Plug the values & then simplify!

\large{ \tt{↬ \frac{1}{2}  \times 10(2 + 7)}}

\large{ \tt{↬ \frac{1}{2} \times 10 \times 9 }}

↬ \boxed{ \large{ \tt{45 \:  {m}^{2} }}}

  • Hence , The required answer is <u>45</u> square meters .

A random sample of 8 recent college graduates found that starting salaries for architects in New York City had a mean of $42,653
ycow [4]

Answer:

C. (36337.32, 48968.68)

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that to find our \alpha level, that is the subtraction of 1 by the confidence interval divided by 2. So:

\alpha = \frac{1-0.95}{2} = 0.025

Now, we have to find z in the Ztable as such z has a pvalue of 1-\alpha.

So it is z with a pvalue of 1-0.025 = 0.975, so z = 1.96

Now, find M as such

M = z*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

In which \sigma is the standard deviation of the population and n is the size of the sample.

M = 1.96*\frac{9114}{\sqrt{8}} = 6315.68

The lower end of the interval is the sample mean subtracted by M. So it is 42653 - 6315.68 = 36337.32.

The upper end of the interval is the sample mean added to M. So it is 42653 + 6315.68 = 48968.68.

So the correct answer is:

C. (36337.32, 48968.68)

Alejandra plans to sew fringe on a scarf. The scarf is shaped rectangle. The length of the scarf is 48 inches. The width is one
aleksandr82 [10.1K]
Ok so you will be finding the perimeter of this rectangle. The formula is P(perimeter)=2L(length) + 2W(width)

so the length is 48 and the width is 1/2 of 48, and we all know that 1/2 of 48 = 24 right? so in the formula is says 2L so we will take 48 and multiply it by 2 and get 96. The same way with the width. 24 times 2 = 48 so then we add them together and get 144. Therefore the perimeter and the length of fringe that she will use (or how ever you say it) will be 144 inches.

Hope this helps!;)
