aptable they can be to new situations. They can figure out new technology, learn to operate new forms of transportation, and adapt their transportation choices when they need to. Despite those skills, most humans value comfortable routines. Not only do routines feel secure, but they also allow us to feel like experts at something because we are very familiar with how it works. Psychologists emphasize the importance of this desire humans have to feel and look like they are in control in public spaces.
