now,

m∠1 + m∠2 = 180° (angle made in straight line)

3x + x + 24 = 180°

4x = 180-24

4x = 156

x = 156/4

x = 39°

also, 3x = 3×39 = 117

x + 24 = 39 + 24 = 63
