Pain, and misery exist in life. Also suffering is caused by selfish craving and personal desire. the way to overcome this misery is through the Eightfold Path.
It was used to recognise the value of people (High and Low) and gave opportunities and respect to the high class people and not to the low class. Anyways, this was not a good idea as it discriminated people. In present India, caste system is not used as it causes Inequality.
