mestny [16]

Answer:2592/25

Step-by-step explanation: Big circle is pi*r^2= (4+3+3)^2*pi =314.15 minus 4^2*pi=50.26 equals 263.89. the big circle minus the first 2 layers of the circle = the outer circle. 314.15-(4+3)^2*pi=160.21 263.89-160.21=2592/25

Does the point (-9,-4) satisfy the equation y = x + 5?
ozzi

Answer:

Yes it satisfies the equation

Step-by-step explanation:

Let, P(x,y) = (-9,-4)

Then, x = -9

         y = -4

if we use this value in the equation, we will get L.S = R.S ;(-4 = -9 + 5)

So, the point satisfies the equation

Help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee pleaseee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
konstantin123 [22]

For the equation  F(x) = ax² + bx + c we have:

  • maximum value if a<0
  • minimum value if a>0

F(x) = -3x² + 18x + 3    ⇒  a = -3, b = 18

a < 0    ⇒   the function has a maximum value

Quadratic function has the maximum value (or minimum) at vertex of its parabola.

The maximum value is k at x=h where:  h=\dfrac{-b}{2a}  and  k = F(h)

h=\dfrac{-18}{2\cdot(-3)}=3\\\\F(3)=-3\cdot3^2+18\cdot3+3=-27+54+3=30

Therefore:

<h3> The function has a maximum value of 30 at x = 3</h3>

hey, i have this question for algebra nation and i have no clue how to work this problem out... can you please help me?
irina1246 [14]
In algebra the notation is basically just a number, for example, 10, and we take it to the 10th power, you just take the decimal at the end of the 10 and move it 10 spaces to the right, if the number is negative you will move the decimal to the left 10 spaces, the 10th power is a variable and is different with every question
