Answer:

1st graph: slope is -1 and equation is y=-x+5

2nd graph: slope is 2/5 and equation is y=2/5x-3

Step-by-step explanation:

y=mx+b is slope-intercept form.

It's call that because this forn tells us the slope,m, and the y-intercept,b.

The first graph you have identified b as 5 since you said the y-intercept was (0,5).

Now we just find slope by finding rise/run.

(0,5) is marked and we see another point has been marked, I will start at (0,5) go down 2 and right 2. This means rise=-2 and run=2 which means the slope=-2/2 and that reduces to -1.

The equation for first graph is y=-1x+5 or y=-x+5.

So again you have no problem identifying the y-intercept which is b=-3.

Now just count the rise/run to the other point. Starting at y-intercept we have to go up 2 and right 5 to get to the other point so m=2/5.

Remember the slope= rise/run. so for the first graph, there are coordinates (0,5) and (2,3). so the rise = 3-5=-2 and the run=2-0=2 so the slope=-2/2=-1. and since the equation for a line is y=mx+ b, where m is the slope and b is the y intercept, the answer is y=-x+5

then just do the same process with the other question to get y=(2/5)x-3

Marcos buys 20 folders and 10 binders for a total of $100. Alicia buys 10 folders and 20 binders for $110. What is the price of
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

folder is $3 binder is $4

Step-by-step explanation:

Let folder be x and binders be y

Marcos

20x+10y= 100----------1

Alicia

10x+20y= 110-------------2

solve 1 and 2

20x+10y= 100 X 1

10x+20y= 110 X 2

20x+10y= 100

-20x+40y= 220

        -30y= -120

y= 120/30

y= 4

put y= 4 in 1

20x+10y= 100

20x+10(4)= 100

20x+40=100

20x=100-40

20x=60

x= 60/20

x=3

What is the domain and range of the relation shown in the table?
mote1985 [20]

Answer:

Option (4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain of a relation or function is the set of input values (x-values) and Range is the set of output values (y-values).

Therefore, from the given table in the attachment,

Domain → {10, 15, 19, 32}

Range → {-1, 5, 9}

Option (4) will be the correct option.

On saturday, you bowl at mar vista bowl, where renting shoes costs $2 and each game bowled is $3.50. on sunday, you bowl at pinz
ExtremeBDS [4]

Given, at Mar Vista bowl the cost of renting shoes = $2.

The cost for each game bowled = $3.50

There are g games given. So the cost for g games bowled = $(3.50)(g) = $(3.50g)

The total amount soent at Mar Vista Bowl = $(2+3.50g)

At Pinz, the cost for shoe rental = $5.

The cost for each game bowled = $3.25.

So the cost for g game bowled = $(3.25)(g) = $(3.25g)

Total amount spent at Pinz = $(5+3.25g)

Given, the amount spent ateach of the places is same.

so we can write the equation as,

2+3.50g = 5+3.25g

We will move 3.25 to the left side by subtracting it from both sides. we will get,

2+3.50g-3.25g = 5+3.25g-3.25g

2+0.25g = 5

Now we will move 2 to the right side by subtracting 2 from both sides. We will get,

2+0.25g-2 = 5-2

0.25g = 3

Now to get g we will divide 0.25 to both sides. We will get,

\frac{0.25g}{0.25}= \frac{3}{0.25}

g =\frac{3}{0.25}

g = 12

So we have got the required answer.

The number of games bowled = 12.
