Show how to use unit multipliers to convert 4 hours to seconds.
blondinia [14]

Answer:

4 hours = 14400 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

i) In 1 hour there are 60 minutes

ii) in 1 minute there are 60 seconds

iii) therefore 1 hour = 60 minutes

                               = 60 \times 60 seconds

                               = 3600 seconds

iv) therefore to convert 4 hours to seconds we have to multiply the number of hours by 3600 seconds

      therefore 4 hours = 4 \times 3600 seconds = 14400 seconds.

Find the surface are of the prism.<br> the surface area of the prism is ________ cm^2.
Sindrei [870]
Hello!

To find the surface area of a rectangular prism you use the equation

SA = 2(wl + wh + lh)

SA is surface area
w is width
l is length
h is height

Put in the values you know

SA = 2(4.5 * 16 + 4.5 * 29 + 16 * 29)

Multiply

SA = 2(72 + 130.5 + 464)

Add

SA = 2(666.5)

Multiply

SA = 1333

The answer is 1333 cm squared

Hope this helps!

We can find the length of DE using the Pythagorean Theorem:
prohojiy [21]
What's the difference between A) and C)??
There should be an E) because the correct answer would be in either of these forms:
{DE}^{2}  =  {(4 - 1)}^{2}  +  {(1 - 3)}^{2}  \:  \: or \\  DE  =  \sqrt{( {3}^{2}  +  {2}^{2} )} \:   \: or \\  {DE}^{2}  =  {(4 - 1)}^{2} +  {(3 - 1)}^{2}
