Answer:

y ≤ 66.28 -> -∞

Step-by-step explanation:

y = a (x-h)² + k     ... (h,k): vertex

y = - 32x² + 90x + 3

  = -32 (x² - (90/32)x + (90/64)²) + (3 + (32)*(90/64)²)

  = -32 (x² - 2*(90/64)x + (90/64)²) + (3+63.28)   ... 90/64=1.41

  = -32 (x - 1.41)² + 66.28

h = 1.41

k = 66.28 .... extremum of y value

y ≤ 66.28 (y is real number)

Find the discriminant of the following equation.
4x2 + 16x + 16 = 0 ...?
Alexxandr [17]
To find the discriminant of the following equation you have to remember tha main formula : ax^2 +bx + c and the one for discriminant is b^2 -4ac
So, now we can solve it 16^2 -4(16)(4) = 4^2-4(4)
(4^2)^2 -4(4)(4)(4)-4^2 +4(4) = 0
4^4 - 4^4 = 016^2-4*4*16=0 , so the discriminants is 0 :)
Hope it's clear!

If the rate of inflation is 1.9% per yeta, the future price p(t) in dollars of a certain item can be modeled by the following ex
crimeas [40]

Answer:

P(0) = 2000

P(10) = 2414

Step-by-step explanation:

The price for today is given by P(t) when t=0. Put 0 where t is, and do the arithmetic.

P(0) = 2000·1.019^0 = 2000

The price in 10 years is given by P(t) when t=10. Put 10 where t is, and do the arithmetic.

P(10) = 2000·1.019^10 ≈ 2000·1.207096 ≈ 2414
