I've always been taught that revising involves checking for spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Basically any kind of improvements. Is this one of those questions where you check all that apply? Revising also includes making sure you have stayed on topic and gives you the chance to remove things that may not really apply or add other things that may have been left out. It's where the writer truly polishes everything up.
I hope this helps.

The original purpose of the Great Wall was to prevent foreign invaders from breaching Chinese boundaries. Nomadic warriors often
valentina_108 [34]

There are over 7,000 lookout towers that are part of the Great Wall.

Today the walls continue to erode, however historians are trying to protect what sections they can.

The height and width of the wall varies over its length. The current wall built by the Ming Dynasty averages around 33 feet tall and 15 feet wide.

It is the longest man made structure in the world.

Wide moats were often dug outside the wall in flat areas to make an enemies approach more difficult.

Smoke signals were used to indicate an attack. The more enemies that were attacking, the more smoke signals they would make.

It was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Many people say that the Great Wall can be seen from the Moon without aid. However, this is just a myth.

The wheelbarrow, which the Chinese invented, no doubt was a great help in building much of the wall.

The wall extends through all sorts of terrain, even into the mountains. Its highest point is over 5,000 feet above sea level.

i hope this helps....

Ovid creates a tense situation, as Thisbe does not realize that
.
stepan [7]

Answer:

Ovid creates a tense situation as Thisbe does not realize that Pyramus is dying.

Explanation:

Ovid's "Pyramus and Thisbe" is a Babylonian love story that revolves around the two lovers, Pyramus and Thisbe. But the story turned tragic after Pyramus discovered a bloodied cloak that belonged to Thisbe and so killed himself.

In the given lines from the story, we can see Thisbe returning to meet Pyramus and tell him about the close escape she had with the lioness. Ovid creates a tense situation in this scene because we already know what Pyramus had done which Thisbe is not privy to.

So, Ovid creates a tense situation as Thisbe does not realize that her love Pyramus is dying.
