You may have heard through various media of an animal alleged to be the hybrid of a rabbit and a cat. Given that the cat (Felis

Answer:

The correct answer is - 2n = 41 chromosomes.

Explanation:

It is given that the cat has a diploid chromosome number of 38 while the rabbit has a diploid number of 44 chromosomes and if they form a hybrid then their expected chromosome number in somatic cells would be -

Cat (2n=38) produces haploid gametes with 19 chromosomes (n-19).

Rabbit (2n=44) produces haploid gametes with 22 chromosomes(n=22)

19+22= 41 chromosomes in the particular hybrid as half number of chromosomes come from each parent.

Answer:

218.75 grams of protein.

Explanation:

If 2500 protein is consumed and its 35% energy is provided by protein then:

2500÷35×100 =875 kcal would be provided by protein.

As one gram of protein provide 4 kcal of energy:

875÷4 = 218.75 grams of potein would be consumed.

Alecsey [184]
The different degrees of sleep and wakefulness through which newborns cycle, ranging from deep sleep to great agitation, are called states of arousal. These states are regular sleep, irregular sleep, drowsiness, quiet alertness and crying. About eight to nine hours each of an infant's day is dedicated to regular and irregular sleep. So, most of the time of the infant is spent in these states. These are the states where the brain of an infant is developing the important connections for growth and survival. Crying is the means for infants to communicate their needs. Different type of cries would represent different needs of the infant.
