Y<3x

Y<5

X = 1

Y = 3

Four streets enter a traffic circle at points A B C and D name six arcs formed by the streets.
lilavasa [31]
Arcs are just sections of the circle
so lets say you had a pizza

and you put some points on the crust, the legnth of the crust from point to point is that arc

example
if you put poins A and B, then arc AB is the crust between points A and B

arcs can include other points as well
 and arc AB=arc BA

so
I wil name easy arcs first
arc AB
arc BC
arc CD
ard DA

now ones that include others
arc AC
arc BD

so the arcs you might want to list are

arc AB
arc BC
arc CD
ard DA
arc AC
arc DB

370 College freshmen were interviewed. 200 were registered for an Advanced Math class. 270 were registered for an English class
frozen [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To aid in understanding, draw three circles...

100 were registered for both Math and English.

50 were registered for both Sport and English but not Math.

70 were registered for Math, Sport, and English.

From here we will be able to calculate for those that signed up for only English class: Total number of students that signed up for english class

a. none signed up only for Maths (refer to attached document)

b. How many signed up for neither Math nor English meaning they signed up for only sports which is 70 from the venn diagram in the attachment.

c. How many signed up for an English class and at least one other class?

From the venn diagram:

we could have an English class and maths class - 100

we could also have an a English class and sports - 50

Thus total is 150.

d. What is the total fee for all the students enrolled in classes

From the diagram, 120 (english only and sport only) enrolled for only one class = 120 x $100 = $12,000

From the diagram, 180 (english and sport, maths and sport and english and maths) enrolled for two classes = 180 x $150 = $27,000

From the diagram, only 70 enrolled for the three classes = 70 x $200 = $14,000

Total fees = $12,000 + $27,000 + $14,000 = $53,000

a car rental agency charge 20 per day plus 30 cents per mile. if you had one of the car for 5 days and your total bill is $197.5
Flura [38]

Answer:

325 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

$20 for each day

5 days

$0.30 for each mile

20(5) + 0.3x = 197.5

100 + 0.3x = 197.5

100 - 100 + 0.3x = 197.5 - 100

0.3x = 97.5

\frac{0.3x}{0.3} = \frac{97.5}{0.3}

x = 325

ella drew a rectangle that was 3 units wide and 4 units long. Draw a different rectangle that has the same perimeter but a diffe
RUDIKE [14]
First we can find the perimeter of the given rectangle

P=2L+2W (L=length and W=width)
P=2*3+2*4
P=6+8
P=14

So now we want to come up with a different combination of numbers that would give up a perimeter of 14. We know that 14 is divisible by 2 so let's make out width 2. If we plug in 2 as the width and 14 as the perimeters, we can solve for length

14=2L+2*2
14=2L+4
10=2L (subtract 4 from both sides)
L=5

So the dimensions are 5 units and 2 units

Hope this helps!
