1.) 18 would be the amount she is getting paid per hour. You can solve this by diving $90 by the 5 hours she worked to find out how much she would make per hour.

2.) it is used as a multiplier because that is the same amount she gets paid regardless of how many hours she works so it is a constant number in this equation.

3.) The table she would multiply the amount of hours she worked by 18 and that would be her amount earned.

4.) for 3 hours she would get $54. You solve this by multiplying 3 hours by $18 which she makes an hour. For 2.1 hours she would get $37.8 you would solve this by multiplying 2.1 hours by $18 which is the amount she makes per hour.

Anika [276]

The given measurement of the Instagram photo is "4" by "4". And a poster enlargement is being printed with a scale factor of 8.5 .

So on using the scale factor of 8.5 , lengths of new sides are "8.5 *4" by "8.5 *4"

= " 34" by "34" .

So the new lengths of the enlarged pictures are of dimension "34" by "34" .

What is a radius of a circle given by the equation x²-2x+8y-47=0
Zolol [24]
First, we are going to rewrite it as a parabola equation.
Rewrite.
8y=-x^2+2x+47
Divide by 8.
y=-\frac{x^2}{8}+\frac{x}{4}+\frac{47}{8}
Factor out coefficient.
y=-\frac{1}{8}\left(x^2-2x\right)+\frac{47}{8}
Then, we are going to convert x into square form.
y=-\frac{1}{8}\left(x^2-2x+1\right)+\frac{1}{8}\cdot \:1+\frac{47}{8}
Convert the whole expression into square form.
y=-\frac{1}{8}\left(x-1\right)^2+\frac{1}{8}\cdot \:1+\frac{47}{8}
Simplify.
y=-\frac{1}{8}\left(x-1\right)^2+6
Subtract 6 from both sides.
y-6=-\frac{1}{8}\left(x-1\right)^2
Divide by coefficient.
-8\left(y-6\right)=\left(x-1\right)^2
Rewrite in standard form.
4\left(-2\right)\left(y-6\right)=\left(x-1\right)^2

The radius of the circle will be -2. Also, no matter what the sign says, the radius has to always be positive.

Roxanne has 1/2 as many beads as Sherrie. The number of beads Sherrie has is 4/5 that of Ting Ting's. Ting Ting has 165 beads. H
gregori [183]
165 Ting Ting's beads* (4 Sherrie's beads/ 5 Ting Ting's beads)= 132 Sherrie's beads.
132 Sherrie's beads* (1 Roxanne's bead/ 2 Sherrie's beads)= 66 Roxanne's beads.
Now that we know the number of beads Roxanne and Ting Ting have, let's subtract:
165 beads- 66 beads= 99 beads.
Hope this would help :))
