Answer:

[1.(x)²+ 8.(x) + 19] + \frac{39}{(x - 2)}

Step-by-step explanation:

The given polynomial is (x³+ 6x²+ 3x + 1) and we have to divide this polynomial by (x - 2) using synthetic division.

In synthetic division, we divide coefficients of the given terms of the polynomial by (x -2) = 0 ⇒ x = 2

So, 2| 1 6 3 1 ---------[ coefficients]

                            2 16 38

                   1 8 19 39

Let me explain it. In first row i have written the coefficients of the terms given in the polynomial 1.x³ + 6.x² + 3x + 1

In the first row I have written 2 in the left side before 1. This is the number by which i am going to divide the coefficients written in the first row.

Now I copied 1 at the bottom (below the line).

Then 2×1 = 2 (written in second row) added with 6 gave 8 at the bottom.

then 8×2 = 16 (written in second row) added with 3 gave 19 at the bottom.

19×2 = 38 (written in second row) added with 1 gave 39 at the bottom.

Now we will rewrite the expression

[1.(x)²+ 8.(x) + 19] + \frac{39}{(x - 2)}

Here highlighted part give in the bracket is the quotient and 19 is the remainder.

What are the corresponding steps used to find the product of (2x+1)(x+1) ?
expeople1 [14]
You would distribute the 2x to the x and 1= 2x^2+2x
then you would distribute the 1 to the x and 1= 1x+1
then you would add it all together to get
2x^2+3x+1

Jacob consumes an energy drink that contains caffeine. After consuming the energy drink, the amount of caffeine in Jacob's body
sasho [114]

Answer: 0.87400mg of caffeine.

Step-by-step explanation:

You have

N(t)=N0(e^−rt)(1)

as a general Exponential decay equation where N0 is the amount at t=0, N(t) is the amount remaining at time t and r is the exponential decay constant. You're specifically given that after 10 hours, the decay factor is 0.2601, i.e.,

N(10)/N(0)=N0(e^−10r)/N0(e^0)= e^−10r=0.2601 . .(2)

Taking the last 2 parts of (2) to the power of 0.1t gives

e^−rt=0.2601^.1t . .(3)

This means that

N(t)=N0(e^−rt)=N0(0.2601^.1t). .(4)

Also,

N(2.56)N(1.56)=N0(0.2601.1(2.56))N0(0.2601.1(1.56))=0.2601.1(2.56−1.56)=0.2601^.1

= 0.87400mg of caffeine.

9. Given a scale factor of 3, find the coordinates for the dilation of a triangle with vertices at
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

The coordinates for the dilation of a triangle is (3 12), (12.15), and (6.0).

  • If the coordinate (x, y) is dilated by a scale factor of k, the resulting coordinate will be at (kx, ky)

  • Given the coordinate of the triangle (1 4). (4.5), and (2.0), if this coordinate is dilated by a factor of 3, the resulting coordinates will be at (3 12), (12.15), and (6.0).

Hence the coordinates for the dilation of a triangle is (3 12), (12.15), and (6.0).
