Answer:

Cloud condensation nuclei or CCNs are small particles typically 0.2 µm, or 1/100 the size of a cloud droplet on which water vapor condenses. Water requires a non-gaseous surface to make the transition from a vapour to a liquid; this process is called condensation.

Also called cloud condensation nuclei. Tiny particles upon whose surfaces condensation of water vapor begins in the atmosphere. Small nuclei less than 0.2 mm in radius are called Aitken nuclei; those with radii between 0.2 and 1 mm are large nuclei, while giant nuclei have radii larger than 1 mm.

Obsidians glassy texture indicates that it formed
OleMash [197]

Answer:

on the surface rapidly

Explanation:

Obsidian glassy texture indicates that the rock formed on the surface rapidly.

Like every other magma, the condition of the environment determines how the magma cools and solidifies.

 • When magma cools rapidly, nucleation centers will be difficult to come- by ..
 • At nucleation centers, minerals aggregates and grows to form different grain sizes.
 • When rapid cooling occurs, not enough time is given for the aggregation around the nucleus.
 • This leaves a rock mass that is finely grained.

If the map distance between genes J and K is 20 map units and the map distance between genes K and L is 35 map units, what is th
Maslowich

Answer:

The map distance between genes J and L is 55 map units

Explanation:

Map distance between genes J and K = 20 map units

Map distance between genes K and L = 35 map units

Map distance between genes J and L = map distance between genes J and K + map distance between genes K and L = 20 map units + 35 map units = 55 map units

A student wins a trophy. It is a metal cup on a black plastic base. The student cleans the trophy. She holds one of the metal ha
sineoko [7]

Answer:

In this given statement , the plastic base becomes negatively charged because plastic is an insulator . And the metal cup does not become charged because metal is a conductor.

Explanation:

Reason behind , why plastic base becomes negatively charged -: When a plastic base is rubbed with a dry cloth in the metal trophy, electrons are shifted from one material to the other. Thus, the substance that gains electrons (which is the plastic base) becomes negatively charged. thus , the plastic is an insulator , which causes charge (negative ) by rubbing.

Reason behind , why the metal cup does not become charged -: The metal cup is a conductor, and the surplus charge on the metal flows to the person who charges the cup and to the ground so that it is not charged. Thus, rubbing a metal can trigger hand\finger injury because metals generate excess heat in rubbing .
