One of The main cause of US fight for the independence was the unfair treatment that the British government impose toward the people in the colonies. They raised the tax rate that have to be paid by the colonists without paying attention to the struggles that the colonies experience.

So, the founding fathers decided to use the monarchy as a system that they should stay away from when drafting the constitution. In exchange, they adopted some ideas from the Enlightenment era.

In the earlier draft of the constitution, the Founding fathers decided to limit the power of the government. They did this with a good intentions. They wanted the people to have the power to completely remove the government officials from the power if the officials fail to fulfill the will of the people.
