D) Russia. The Romanov dynasty ruled Russia from 1613 until 1917, when the Russian Revolution overthrew the Tsar Nicholas II and replaced the monarchy with the Soviet Union. World War I was devastating for Russia, who lost millions of lives and took an economic toll on the nation. This created nationwide protests to pull out of the war, which Russia eventually did. The Romanovs however, proved inefficient at meeting the demands of the serfs who created an uprising and overthrew the government.<span />

1. How are Goldman and Frick’s claims about the Homestead strike different?
SCORPION-xisa [38]

The correct answer is that Emma Goldman supported labor union (she was against the capitalist system) and Henry Frick the owner of the Homestead steel plant was against it.

The Homestead strike began at the steel plant in the Homestead. This strike took place because the management under the leadership of Henry Frick ( known for his contempt of workers and labor unions) wanted to demolish the union at the plant in order to reduce the wages. Whereas, Emma Goldman (opposed the idea of wage reduce given by Frick) was a political activist who supported the rights of workers
