Meiosis is for sexual reproduction and for producing offspring, whereas mitosis is the cell division for cell reproduction so it has to be mitosis as it is the cause of cell growth, allowing the puppy to grow into an adult dog

It wouldn't be eukaryotic or homeostasis since they're not types of cell division.
