5 0

there are 5 1/5 in an hour

 so multiply 1/2 by 5

1/2 = 0.5

0.5 *5 = 2.5 miles in 1 hour

If the critical z-value for a hypothesis test... If the critical z-value for a hypothesis test equals 2.45, what value of the te
schepotkina [342]

Answer: z score = 0.00714

Step-by-step explanation: the value of test statistics is gotten using the standard normal distribution table.

Z= 2.45 has area to the left (z<2.45) and area to the right (z>2.45).

Level of significance α is the probability of committing a type 1 error. The area under the distribution is known as the rejection region and it is the area towards the right of the distribution.

The table I'm using is towards the left of the distribution.

But z>2.45 + z<2.45 = 1

z> 2.45 = 1 - z<2.45

But z < 2.45 = 0.99286

z > 2.45 = 1 - 0.99286

z >2.45 = 0.00714

Hence the test statistics that would produce the least type 1 error is 0.00714

Poker is a card played with a standard 52 card playing deck. We draw one card at a time without replacement from the top of a sh
Maru [420]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Poker is a card played with a standard 52 card playing deck. We draw one card at a time without replacement from the top of a shuffled standard poker deck and stop when we draw an ace.

There are 4 aces and 48 non aces.

For randomly drawing card for first card we have probability for drawing ace = 4/52 and non ace = 48/52

X = no of cards we have drawn

If X is the total no of cards drawn, then the event should have been

first x-1 cards non aces, and the last card ace.

Hence P(X)

= Drawing x-1 cards from 48 non aces * drawing one card from remaining 52-(x-1) cards

= \frac{48C(x-1)}{52C(x-1)} *\frac{4}{53-x} \\, x=1,2,.....49
