A negative thing about #Alllivematter is that it simply isn’t true.

Answer:

In my opinion, all lives matter is saying that at the moment, everyone's lives matter, and yes, everyone life is unique and important BUT is everyone in need of help right now? Is anyone in fear of dying every time they step out? (i mean ya cause of corona but pretend corona isn't here).

Lets say in your neighborhood, a house is burning. Your first thought is to call the fire department for that specific house right? All lives matter would mean that a fire truck would come and put water on every house in your neighborhood, even if they don't need it.

I hope this answers your question :)

ok but the thing is why does everyone keep saying acab, kam, kaw, alm, blm. Like we're all human. Some of us are bad some of us are good. We shouldn't change our opinion on something just because people in that category made a mistake. For example, we generally know that males frequently assault females and vise versa, BUT we don't judge an entire gender based off some peoples acts (i know it's a lot but I'm just going to use the word some). This is the same with cops and other people. Also i don't think we should burn the American flag. A lot of people died for it and although, yes, the flag represents the trash country America is currently, but it also represents the history of the very land we stand on today.

Which lines from The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock best express themes of alienation and Isolation?
Murrr4er [49]

Your question is a bit incomplete since it's missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is as follows:

Which lines from “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” best express themes of alienation and isolation?

A.And I have known the arms already, known them all—

Arms that are braceleted and white and bare

B.But as if a magic lantern threw the nerves in patterns on a screen:

Would it have been worth while

C.No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be;

Am an attendant lord…

D.I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think they will sing to me.

Answer:

The lines that best express themes of alienation and isolation are:

D.I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think they will sing to me.

Explanation:

"The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" is a poem by T. S. Elliot. The speaker is Prufrock himself, a man who is unfulfilled both spiritually and carnally. Prufrock is incapable of interacting socially due to his exacerbated insecurity. He believes he will be judged ugly and dull if he ever chooses to leave his home and talk and dine with other people.

Much of his concern involves women, since they seem unattainable to him. He longs for contact, for a relationship, but can only think of them as impossibly distant. Towards the end of the poem, Prufrock mentions the mermaids, mythological beings who live in the ocean and sing to enchant and attract sailors. Even the mermaids do not sing to Prufrock. He feels so inferior, so undesirable, the even the very beings whose purpose in existing is to sing to men do not want to sing to him. They are, obviously, a representative of the speaker's isolation and alienation, of all the women seen by the speaker as desirable but unreachable.

Read the following passage and answer the question.
alisha [4.7K]

The quote "more like a king, composed, farther and farther on" has a very important meaning. It is saying that you should, rather than be shy, or to not have pride in one's self, instead compose yourself "more like a king". It is saying that you should be proud, and that you should carry yourself in a way that makes others admire you, because you have pride in yourself.
