q= 6

r= 7

work--

Multiply 1st column by -2:

-30q+8r=-124

5q+8r=86

Subtract 2nd column from the first column:

-35q= -210

Solve for q:

q=6

Subtract q=6 by any of the two equations, so:

-30q+8r=-124

-30*6+8r=-124

Solve for r:

r=7

50 written as a product of its prime fac<br> tors
Maru [420]
Start by identifying any factor of 50 and then rewriting 50 to include that one factor and another:

50 = 5 * 10              5 is prime, but 10 is not.  Thus, factor 10:

50 = 5 * 5 * 2        This is 50 as a product of its prime factors 5, 5 and 2.

Find the linear equation in slope intercept form that passes through the points (5,3) and (2,-1)
padilas [110]

\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{5}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{3})\qquad  (\stackrel{x_2}{2}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{-1}) \\\\\\ slope =  m\implies  \cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{ y_2- y_1}}{\stackrel{run}{ x_2- x_1}}\implies \cfrac{-1-3}{2-5}\implies \cfrac{-4}{-3}\implies \cfrac{4}{3} \\\\\\ \stackrel{\textit{point-slope form}}{y- y_1= m(x- x_1)}\implies y-3=\cfrac{4}{3}(x-5)\implies y-3=\cfrac{4}{3}x-\cfrac{20}{3} \\\\\\ y=\cfrac{4}{3}x-\cfrac{20}{3}+3\implies y=\cfrac{4}{3}x-\cfrac{11}{3}
