Answer: The basic cell division in plant and animal cells are similar but there are still some differences.

The similarities between onion root and whitefish cell In mitosis cell division is that the four phase of mitosis I.e anaphase, prophase, metaphase and telophase occur the same way.

In prophase, the chromatins are condensed, in

Metaphase the chromosomes adjust and move to the center, in anaphase, the chromatics from metaphase are separated and move to the opposite poles. At Telophase, the cells divide through cytokinesis.

Their major differences is in cytokinesis stage.

The onion cells divide along the same axis but the white cells division is random.

Explanation:

The epidermal cell of onion give its protection against vacteria, viruses and fungi.

The white fish embryo is good to study mitosis because its cells are randomly dividing.
