Answer:

F(1)  = -21

F(2) = -9 = -21 + 4 x 3   = F(1) + 4 x (2^2 - 1)

F(3) = 11  = -21 + 4 x 8   = F(1) + 4 x (3^2 - 1)

F(4) = 39 = -21 + 4 x 15 = F(1) + 4 x (4^2 - 1)

...

F(n) = F(1) + 4 x (n^2 - 1)

=> F(5) = -21 + 4 x (5^2 - 1 ) = -21 + 4 x 24 = 75

=> F(6) = -21 + 4 x (6^2 - 1)  = -21 + 4 x 35 = 119

Hope this helps!

Answer:You're adding 7 each time (18 - 11 = 7, 25-18 = 7, etc etc)

Rule:

(nth term) = (previous term) + 7

a%5Bn%5D+=+a%5Bn-1%5D%2B7

The recursive rule is a%5Bn%5D+=+a%5Bn-1%5D%2B7

3x-x+2=4   ...

A cube-shaped box has a volume of 1/8 of a cubic meter. What is the perimeter of each of its
belka [17]

Given:

The volume of a cube-shaped box is \dfrac{1}{8} cubic meter.

To find:

The perimeter of each of its faces.

Solution:

Let "a" be the side length of the cube shaped box. Then the volume of the box is:

V=(side)^3

V=a^3

It is given that the volume of a cube-shaped box is \dfrac{1}{8}  cubic meter.

a^3=\dfrac{1}{8}

Taking cube root on both sides, we get

a=\dfrac{1}{2}

Now, the perimeter of each face of a cube is:

P=4a

Where, a is the side length of the cube.

Putting a=\dfrac{1}{2}, we get

P=4\times \dfrac{1}{2}

P=2

Therefore, the perimeter of each face of a cube-shaped box is 2 meters.

How o I get the awnser to 9s+3=57 I need help asap im in 8th grade
PIT_PIT [208]
First subtract 3 from both sides of the equal sign.
9s + 3 = 57
      - 3     -3
9s = 54

Then divide both sides by 9.
9s = 54
/9     /9
s = 6

You can check it by plugging it back into the equation.
9s + 3 = 57
9 * 6  + 3= 57
54 + 3 = 37
57 = 57
Yep! It's correct! :)

Hope that helped. Algebra can be tricky sometimes I know but it's really just balancing equations.

Round to the nearest ten and hundred 829
Musya8 [376]
To the nearest ten, 829 would become <em><u>830</u></em> because the ones digit (9) is closer to 30 than it is to 20. So we would round up.

To round to the nearest hundred, we look at the tens and ones digit. 29 is less than 50 so we would have to round down to <em><u>800</u></em> instead of rounding up to 900.

Hope that helps :)
