Answer:

no of movies (m), by Tim = 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Julie payment = constant 70 + 4.25 per additional movie = 70 + 4.25 m

Tim payment = constant 49.5 + 5.5 per additional movie = 49.5 + 5.5 m

Julie order = 12 movies. So, final payment = 70 + 4.25 (12) = 70 + 51 = 121

Equalising Tim's equation, for finding Tim's movies for same final amount , 121 = 49.5 + 5.5 m  → 5.5m = 121 - 49.5 = 71.5 →  m = 71.5 / 5.5 = 13

35 miles per hour to feet per minute
guapka [62]
35 miles is equal to 35*5280, which is 184,800.
Now we know that it takes one hour to travel 184,800.
The next step is to divide 184,800 by 60, which is 3,080.
So it takes one minute to travel 3,080 feet. Hope this helps.

The number of seats in a row has been increased at a rectangular-shape movie theater after renovation so that it is now five mor
Damm [24]

Let the number of rows be = r

Let the number of seats per row be = s

we know that the number of seats is 126.

So, s\times r=126    ..... (1)

As given, there are five more seats per row than the number of rows, so we can say that:

s=r+5

Putting this in equation (1)

(r+5)*r=126

r^{2}+5r=126

r^{2}+5r-126=0

r^{2}+14r-9r-126=0

(r+14)(r-9)=0

r=-14 and r=9 (neglecting the negative value) we get r=9

And s=r+5

so, s =9+5=14

Hence, there are 5 rows and 14 seats per row.
