Answer:

Cyclical changes in eccentricity are changes in the shape of Earth's orbit.

Changes in obliquity are the changes in Earth's tilt on its axis.

Earth also experiences a precession around its axis.

The cycles affect climate by altering the duration of Earth's seasons and temperature decreases between summer and winter

Which of the following can combine in a cell to convert a lower-energy molecule into a higher-energy molecule?
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

The reaction that converts a lower-energy molecule into a higher-energy molecule is ADP + P + energy.

Explanation:

ATP is the molecule that provides energy to the cell. It possesses three phosphate groups, each of which is bound by high-energy bonds and the separation of a phosphate by hydrolysis of ATP is strongly exergonic. The energy released is used by the cell to perform its functions.

In order to form an ATP molecule, ADP is required to bind to a phosphate group, a process that requires energy to establish the P-O-P bond, so the reaction, which is reversible, would be:

                                  ATP + H₂O ⇄ ADP + Pi + ↑energy

This is what allows to convert a lower-energy molecule into a higher-energy molecule and permits an ATP molecule to become the energy exchanger of living organisms.

Characterization of the complete three-dimensional structure of a newly purified protein suggests that it catalyzes the breakdow
Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer:

The options

A) It is probably an enzyme that is regulated by noncompetitive inhibition.

B) It is probably a multi-subunit enzyme that is regulated by allosteric regulation.

C) It is probably an enzyme that is regulated by competitive inhibition.

D) It is probably an enzyme that is regulated by cooperativity.

The CORRECT ANSWER IS A)

A) It is probably an enzyme that is regulated by noncompetitive inhibition.

Explanation:

This kind of protein is an enzyme that possesses a singular polypeptide chain, that is to say, it lacks more subunits. The pocket is localised in the binding site for the necessary substrate or active site, and the cavity is a binding site for a different molecule. This seperate molecule is a known to be a regulatory molecule or an inhibitor. In this case study, the inhibitor adhere itself to a different site which isn't the active site. When an inhibitor attaches itself in a site which is not the active site, it is reported that this molecule behaves in the form of a noncompetitive inhibitor.

What would earth be like without the greenhouse effect?
schepotkina [342]
Freezing. The greenhouse effect is the way how earth is kept warm , as the heat radiation is trapped through the gasses ( gasses reflect the radiation back to earth) without the green house effect, the earth I assume would be all "iced up"and " bare and bold" up, and life (as we know it ) would not survive ( some others forms of life may take place but we never know...)

Personal opinion , free to accept other ideas .

inn [45]

Answer:

I pick embryo similarities.

Explanation:

Vertebrates have a resemblance of their embryos. Such as birds, amphibians, fish, reptiles and mammals. Though there's resemblance but it doesn't form the same organism since there's evolution which might be due to geographic and ecological isolations.

Example, Amphibian embryo resemble with fish embryo.
